The microbiological laboratory BIOTEST, has been operating since 2005 in Larissa, in the city center. It is located at 22 Anthimou Gazi Street, on the ground floor, with easy access to it. Our well-equipped space with state-of-the-art analyzers, in combination with the specialized and specially trained staff, guarantee you reliability and safety.
Our goal is the reliable result, in the shortest possible time, to be an excellent tool in the hands of the clinician, for the benefit of the patient.
The delivery and explanation of the results is done by a biopathologist.

The office staff has extensive experience in the effective management of blood draws in infants and children.

The Doctors
He was born in Larissa. He is a graduate of the 6th high school of Larissa in 1988.
He graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and the Military School of Officers (SSAS – Medical Department) (1989 – 1995).
He obtained the title of “Medical Biopathology-Microbiology” after five years of training, initially at 424 GSNE in Thessaloniki and then at the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki (1998 – 2003).
He served in the Military Hospitals 401 GSNA, 424 GSNE and 404 GSNL and in various Units of the Army and is Director of the Microbiological Department of 404 GSNL from 2014 until today.
Since 2005, he is a member of the microbiological laboratory “BIOTEST”.
He participates in several conferences of his specialty. Monitors and is constantly updated on all the latest data in Medical Biopathology-Microbiology ..
He is married and the father of three children.

The laboratory applies
On a daily basis internal quality control programs. This control includes analysis of control materials (controls), at least 2 different concentration levels per test, always before the start of the routine but also during the analysis of the samples. The control materials that used are multi-controls proposed by the manufacturer, with acceptance parameters of the parameters depending on analytical system.
At regular intervals, external quality controls are carried out by institutes, which seal the validity and reliability of the analyzes. In this way the laboratory is able to compare with other similar ones around the world and preserve the accuracy and precision of the results, preventing any failures of materials and equipment.

Laboratory information system (L I S) for automation in exam ordering and pricing and its interconnection (L I S) with external systems via internet for data exchange, such as laboratory test results.
